Nazrul neglected throughout

The builder of two nations in general and the heritage literator in particular Kazi Nazrul Islam has totally been neglected throughout in this part of Bengal.

Some corners have started to believe this as deliberate when some are raising fingers to his political victimization as Nazrul is the writer of the first political novel in Bengali Literature named Mrityukhudha translated as Hunger for Death, spreading political ideologies in Indian states in the line of Bolshevik movement  of Russia. This novel has been compared to Gorky’s Mother but the political party or parties even in favor of the the ideology did nothing to upheld his literature.

Though Nazrul was one of the principal motivators of the Bengalese in general and  Bengali Muslims in particular and his literary efforts were directed  solely to  liberate India, Nazrul was never given the respect or recognition  as a maker of Indian Nation.
No effort from the Central or State Authorities  was seen to promote  his literature  beyond the linguistic boundary of Bengal by translating his works in the world language There is total lack of initiation on their part Refusal to patronize any individual  effort on such lines has clearly exposed their apathy  for what Nazrul and Nazrulism stand for though they speak of socialism, equality and communal harmony. All approaches to the state chief  or the central ministers- in- charge have  failed to yield any result  as this correspondent experienced.

His birth centenary went colorlessly and none witnessed the performers of his wide variety of songs  collected from countries worldwide  and presented  with a perfect blend of Bengalism and Indian ness. And how can they unless patronized or sponsored for it ?

Is this because upholding his creation is upholding the community he has picturized? A pertinent question thus passes uncared for and unanswered.

But the emerging importance of play of numbers in the recent electoral arena seems to lead to some kind of compulsions to ponder over the works of the poet in a gesture of appeasement of the community Nazrul has pictured  in his literary pursuit honestly  like a great artist as per the theory of T.S Eliot.

The educationally and culturally enlightened  members of that section of society are waiting as if  to see their own recognition through the recognition  and culture of Nazrul Literature in Bengal, in India as they know that no change is static and is always subject to further changes.
