THE AIMS & OBJECTS OF WEST BENGAL MUSLIM ASSOCIATION

1. To promote and develop the Islamic faith and interest of the Muslims and Minorities of West Bengal.
2. To work for co-ordination and co-operation amongst the  organizations and people for protection, preservation and all round educational and economical development of the composite cultural heritage of the country.
3. To create better understanding and foster harmonious relationship amongst all sections of society by removing the communication gap and dispelling the misunderstanding among all sections of the society.
4. To generate confidence and awareness among the Muslims and other sections of the society through regeneration of socio-economic system with a view to achieving improvement in their living standard and encouraging effective and meaningful participation in the activities of the society.
5. To take effective and concerted steps for bridging the gap in the mental attitude and understanding between the modern educated Muslims and the Ulemas for evolving agreed courses of action for the uplift of the Muslim Society.
6. To promote educational and cultural activities including setting up and running of Educational  Institutions with the object of removing the educational and economical backwardness of the Muslims and to render assistance and co-operation to Associations and Societies engaged in such activities.
7. To encourage the spread of higher studies and research amongst the Muslims and to urge the Government and other concerned authorities and bodies for providing facilities and to publish Journals, Books, Bulletins  and Newsletters etc.
8. To arrange training and Coaching Centres for competitive Examinations for services or higher studies and provide Career Guidance and Information Services.
9. To encourage, help and assist Muslim Youths in seeking self-employment in Trades, Commerce and small-scale and cottage Industries with the object of socio-economic regeneration of the society.
10. To establish and run Newspapers and other publications and TV Channels and electronic media for Muslims and other sections of the society.
11. To create Funds like Zakat Funds, Students Funds, Charitable Funds, Islamic Intrest Free Fund or Bank etc.for Muslims and backward people.
12. To establish Centres for imparting Scientific Knowledge, education and training amongst Muslims and establish Health and Medical Centres for rendering medical assistance for poor bustee and rural people in general.
13. To work among the Muslim Women by extending educational facilities, training and guidance for self employment and other socio-economic and religious awareness activities.
14. To establish and run a legal wing to arrange for legal advice and assistance to safeguard the interest of the Muslim and other backward people in general.
15. To take effective measures for housing problems of the Muslims and other weaker sections of the society in collaboration with Government and other concerned authorities.
16. To take necessary steps for promotion and development and proper utilization of the Wakf Estates in West Bengal.
17. To initiate and maintain socio-economic, cultural and welfare activities for the members of the Association and other sections of the people.
18. To organize games and sports for better physical development of the members and families.
19. To undertake on its own or in collaboration with other similar associations such other activities as are incidental or conducive to the aims and objects of the association.
20. To pursue any other objects as to the members of the Association may seem fit and proper.
